How can I become a member of SCMTA?

What events does the SCMTA offer?
For teachers/administrators: outstanding teacher recognition awards,
classroom project grants, newsletter, LIMACON conference and teacher
workshops.
For students: competitions including Jr. Hi. and Sr. Hi. Math Leagues, a
student symposium, a math tournament and course contests. We also give an
outstanding Junior award.

How can I enter students in SCMTA activities?
Student events are run by activity chairpersons. The list is printed in the
newsletter (mailed to members) and can be found under "Activity Chairs"
above. Please contact the appropriate chairperson directly.

How can I contribute to the newsletter?
Please contact the newsletter editor listed in the "Activity Chairs" link
above.

I want to be more involved. How can I do that?
If you want to help with a specific event, please contact that event's
chairperson. If you wish to give input to the board of directors, or begin a
new activity, please contact the president. All events need helpers and the
board of directors welcomes participation and input from SCMTA members.

When is the website expanded?
We add features to the website as often as the need arises. If
you have any suggestions or comments, please contact Jane Fasullo the
current site maintenance person (click on the "email" icon on the home page
or on "Activity Chairs" above then the website managers email address).

Why can't I contact SCMTA by e-mail?
You can! Simply click on the "email" icon on the home page. That will put
you through to the website manager OR to reach a specific activity manager,
click on "activity chairs" above then the email address of the particular
activity chair you wish to reach.
Also, activity chair and board of director contact information is available
in each newsletter. Newsletters are sent to members 4 times a year.
The organization does not maintain a secretary or central offices. All
activities and communications are done by individuals who are or were
classroom teachers and are volunteering their time to keep the activities
going. Ideas and/or help are always welcome. Contact the
president to volunteer or give ideas (click on "activity chairs" above) or
send comments/ideas via this site by using the "website comments" title
above.
