Grand Chapter Projects and Activities

ITINERARY

As in the past, the itinerary will sell for $3.00. This special publication contains our Theme, Names
and Addresses for Grand Officers, Past Grand Matrons, Past Grand Patrons, the 2008-2009 Grand
Appointments, and the Calendar of Official Visits, Schools, and many other activities.

4 QUARTERS OF PROCESSED BEEF

This year we are going to sell chances on quarters of processed home grown beef. The beef, donated
by the WGM and her husband, was born, raised and fed on their ranch. Four quarters will be given
away at Grand Chapter in April 2009. Arrangements for delivery will be made at that time. Chances
sell for $1.00 each or 6 for $5.00.

WALNUT CLOCK

The WGP has made a beautiful clock out of walnut. The walnut was provided to him by the WGM’s
spouse who cut the walnut tree down from the timber on their land. Chances sell for $1.00 or 6 for
$5.00.

STAINED GLASS ANGEL

We also have a stained glass angel which we will be selling chances on to give away. Chances sell for
$1.00 or 6 for $5.00.

CROSS PINS AND ANGEL PINS

We have two session pins to sell. Each pin will sell for $5.00.

All of the money collected for the above items will be going to Heart Research, Spinal Cord Injury
(SPI) Research and our Special Projects.

FISHING EQUIPMENT FOR THE DISABLED

George Bayless from Adda Chapter #467, Lenexa, has donated 3 complete sets of fishing equipment
for those who need technical assistance. The equipment was designed to give the disabled for
various causes a chance to live a closer to normal life in the outdoors. What does the equipment
consist of? The system includes a specially designed rod. The butt of the rod rests in a gimbal in a
special seat that will allow the fisherman to fish without the physical pressures of ordinary fishing.
There is a harness for holding the rod while allowing the reel to be retrieved with one hand. One
unit is a sitdown which includes a seat, casting rod, harness, reel and 20 lb. IGFA certified line; one
unit is a sitdown which includes a seat, spinning rod, harness, reel and 16 lb. IGFA line; and the other
unit is a standup that includes a spinning rod, harness, reel, 16 lb. IGFA line and standup belt.
Chances sell for $1.00 each or 6 for $5.00. Proceeds from this will go towards Heart Research,
Spinal Cord Injury Research and our Special Projects.
