PENINSULA DISTRICT 2008 TRAINING
In good news, our District hosted our annual District training in York County
on June 5th. We had great attendance with over 130 people coming to get the
knowledge they will need to run their boards effectively. We would like to
thank the Yorktown Elementary PTA, principal and staff for hosting and making
us feels welcomed. We greatly appreciate our Virginia PTA President, Melissa
Nehrbass, Virginia PTA Vice President, Debi Abadie; our Membership Chair,
Karen Lecemby; our Essay Chair, Jannie Bazemore; our Reflections Chair, Pam
Henifin, and National PTA Trainer, Karen Fellows, who did our membership
training. They did a wonderful job of training our attendees.
I would also like to also thank Mary Jo Padula, your Secretary/Treasurer and
Barbara Good, your Assistant District Director for helping out so much during
the training. We were excited to be able to offer a CD with the training
materials for each school in attendance thanks to Barbara.
Note that we will host training on the first Thursday of June next year in
Hampton.
