BYLAWS UP FOR RENEWAL AND YOU DON'T FEEL COMFORTABLE WITH DOING A SET?
THE PENINSULA DISTRICT IS OFFERING A SERVICE TO OUR MEMBERS WHERE YOU WILL
FILL IN THE BYLAWS CHEAT SHEET IN THE "FORMS AND DOCUMENTS" SECTION OF THE
SITE, EMAIL TO ME AT PENINSULADD@VAPTA.ORG AND I CAN HAVE A SET READY FOR YOU
IN A MATTER OF MINUTES TO POST FOR THE 30 DAY NOTICE AND HAVE ADOPTED BY YOUR
MEMBERSHIP....CONTACT JEAN FARRAR IF YOU HAVE QUESTIONS.
WHEN ARE YOUR BYLAWS DUE TO BE REVISED?
Local unit bylaws must be revised EVERY FIVE YEARS. To find out when your
local units bylaws are up for revision, check your bylaws cover sheet or call
or email the state PTA office at info@vapta.org. Since there must be 30 days
advance notice before a vote on bylaws or amendments can be done, you must
plan early to get these done on time.
REMEMBER:
We recommend starting 4-6 months before your current bylaws are due for
renewal.

If your school is listed below your bylaws are up for renewal this school
year. Begin immediately to get the process going and feel free to contact me
for assistance. Want to know exactly when your old bylaws were adopted.
