Time to plan for the annual Peninsula District FREE Training Event
Newsletters to be sent to all PTA leaders in early May. (see Newsletters and
Forms section for more info). Bring your entire board.

May 31 for the handouts for the training.
Hampton Council is offering a purchase of a boxed meal for your convenience.
We will also be adopting our new bylaws revision. Yes, the district has to
revise their bylaws each 5 years just like a council or local unit does. See
the Newsletters and Forms section to see the revision. The revision will be
making a change to the councils and areas that belong to our District. The
state Board of Managers made a geographical change a few years ago and we
will update our bylaws to reflect that.
Speaking of bylaws, have you checked yours lately? All Virginia PTA bylaws
are due for revisionevery 5 years. Not sure? Email the Virginia PTA office
at info@vapta.org and ask for a copy to be emailed/mailed to you. Each board
member should have a copy and a copy should be placed in your schools for
viewing by all members.

FINAL DUES PAYMENT JUNE 30, 2013!
Dues payments deadlines are December 1, March 1 and
June 30. Your council may have different deadlines, check with your council
leadership if you are unsure.
