Mark your calendars for the End of Year Staff Appreciation Luncheon!
This year's luncheon is taking place on Friday, May 10 in the gym.
This is a huge luncheon that includes all teachers, staff and bus drivers so we will need volunteers
for the evening of May 9 to help set up and again on May 10 to help serve as well as donations of desserts and beverages.

GATES Relay for Life Team
Be the first to join GATES Relay for Life Team! Help raise money to
find a cure for cancer. Events held during school or you can raise $ on your own.
Log onto Relay for Life Courthouse (click the blue link)
Click 'Sign Up', Choose 'Join An Existing Team', Type and choose 'Gates Elementary School'
Cost is $10 to join.
Let's see if we can have more members than any other elementary school!!

Hey everyone, Gates PTA is going to need a website person for the PTA next year. It's lots of fun, no web experience is necessary.
If you like to be creative and know what is going on with the PTA activities and more then this is one of the best ways to do it.

While you are warming up with a hot bowl of soup.....DON'T forget to clip the Campbells Soup Labels and send them to school to go in the collection can!
Keep Saving Those Box Tops!
Turn in collected Box Tops to the office to help raise money for our school!
Don't forget to put your child's name and teacher's name the sheet(s).
Prizes will be awarded each week and at the end of the month to the student who has collected the most!

If you have a few minutes to volunteer in the Teacher Help Center - we need the following assistance (NO experience necessary)......
copying, cutting, laminating, etc.
Sign in the office and they can direct you to the
teacher help center workroom!

RECYCLE YOUR OUTGROWN SPIRITWEAR
Have your children outgrown some of their spiritwear from past years? Why not donate it and we'll share it with other students i
n the school who may not have any! It's a great way to share our school spirit while recycling clothing in good condition that can't really be sold at yard sales.
If you would like to donate shirts, sweatshirts, or sweatpants, etc...
all you have to do is send them in to the office.
Start collecting the following items for GATES!
We recycle them for $ for our school!
Newspapers and Aluminum cans can also be recycled at GATES.
We have a container in the parking lot as you exit.
Parents and Students
All glass, plastic, and metal containers
can be placed in the BLUE Can
located in the cafeteria.
