The National Spanish Honor Society is an honorary organization for outstanding students of the Spanish language.
The purposes of NSHS are:
1. To honor students for their achievement in the study of Spanish.
2. To encourage students to continue their studies of the Spanish language and culture.
3. To provide students opportunities to use their abilities to serve the community and school.

Students may apply for membership during the fall semester of Spanish III, IV, or V. Students must have maintained an outstanding average in Spanish for the current fall semester and the previous spring and fall semesters, according to the following criteria: IF CURRENTLY ENROLLED IN: STUDENT NEEDS AN AVERAGE OF: SP. III 95 or better SP. III Pre-AP / SP. IV 92 or better SP. AP Language/ AP Literature 88 or better
Transfer students must have spent one full semester in the program before becoming eligible.
NSHS meets the first Thursday of the month at 8:30am and 4:20pm in room 150.
REMEMBER: Members are REQUIRED to attend every NSHS meeting and maintain a minimum of 4 service points per semester in order to avoid probation and to be eligible to wear an honor cord at graduation.
