Hello Kate Bond Family,
Happy 2010 New Year! We had a very full and wonderful 1st semester with PTA
at Kate Bond Elementary. We are now on the down hill side to this school
year. We have lots of events planned for 2nd semester. We encourage you to
come and “get plugged in” with your child at KB!!!
I am going to try something a little different for 2010. I plan to update
this web page each month with a little more information of the coming
events. My goal is to hopefully keep you better informed of what is going on
at KB and with PTA. I know you are busy and care about what is going on with
your child. Maybe this page with help! I too work fulltime and juggle
life with a 15, 11 and 6 year old twin girls. Maybe this page will help us
all stay up-to-date.
January 2010
We will continue to host CiCi’s-Bartlett pizza night each 1st Monday of the
month during the 2nd semester.
2nd Grade will host in January.
For those of you that may not know what CiCi’s pizza night is please let me
explain: Each month, a different grade greets at CiCi’s in Bartlett. Our
school receives 10% from all sales that night. This money is split between
all of the teachers for that grade that hosts. You only pay $5 plus a drink
for each person to eat all of the pizza you can!!! This is a great, cheap
and quick way to feed your family and help that grade level/KB at the same
time.
Report cards will go home on Jan. 13th.
Please continue to send in your box tops each week. This money goes directly
back to the teachers for supplies in their classroom! $.10 could truly go
along way if every student of KB would participate. Ask your family and co-
workers to save them for you/us!!! But don’t forget to send them in…..they
do have expiration dates on them.
Our 1st Chucky Cheese Night will be 1/21/10. 15% of all sales that night
will go back to the PTA! Which will in turn be used to do great things at KB
school.
Don’t miss the KB Book Fair that will go on from 1/25/10-1/29/10. All
proceeds from this will go back to our school’s library. We will again have
Bedtime Stories Night on 1/28/10. This is a night where all students are
encouraged to come back to school from 5-7pm in their warm PJ’s and be read
to by our great guest readers. All will receive milk and cookies. The Book
Fair will also be open to make purchases if you wish!!!
