How to Contact the Board

Anyone who has a specific concern to share with the County Board of Representatives may address the Board at the beginning of any Board meeting.  Privledge of the Floor is usually the first item on the agenda.  You may address the Board, but the Board is not required to give you a response at that time.  The County Board meets the first Wednesday of each month at 10am.   If a second meeting is needed, it is held the third Wednesday of the month at 7:30pm.  The meetings are held in the Board Room, located on the 2nd floor of the County Office Building at 197 Main Street in Cooperstown.  All are welcome to attend.

You may also write to the Board in care of Board Chairman James Powers, County Office Building, 197 Main Street, Cooperstown, New York 13326.  Your letter will be read at the next meeting of the Board.

You may also direct your concerns to your District 8 Representative, James V. Johnson at jvj@flycreekstables.com  or by calling 547-2095 or 226-5171.  He should  respond to your email and direct your concerns to the proper committee.  If you want to address one of the committees, you need to get on that committee's agenda.   Call the committee's secretary at least three days before the meeting to get on the agenda.   A list of committees, their members, their secretaries, and the departments with which they are concerned follows:
