NYSUT's new member program will again conduct video conferences on teacher and
teacher assistant certification. This year's schedule will offer two
workshops designed to serve member's needs.
1. Information on Initial & Professional Certification (Block A) - The New
Requirements for Teachers
This session will provide information on the new certification requirements in
place since February 2004. Anyone applying for a certificate in a new subject
area after this date will be held to these requirements.
2. Information on Teaching Assistant Certification (Block B)
This session will provide an overview of the certification process for
teaching assistants under the old and new requirements.
