Ron Troy

Ron is a Fellow, Examiner and Adjudicator in Ballroom, Latin American and New Vogue dancing with the C.B.D.F. in Australia and also in the Unite States. Ron is also registered with N.A.D.T.A. in the United States, as a world lass adjudicator with the "World Dance Sport Council" and with the United States Amateur Ballroom Dance Association as a judge and adjudicator. He is the former Australian Champion of Champions and the Australian representative to the world championships in Japan in 1969 where he was a finalist in both ballroom and in Latin dance.

Ron has recently returned from the Grand World Voyage 2005 Holland American Line where he performed and showcased many students. We welcome him with open arms to the South Jersey Shore.

From June through October, Ron is available for private lessons ~ coaching ~ and workshops in American & International Style Smooth & Latin at Formoso Ballroom Dance Studio. Students beginner thru advanced will greatly benefit from his expertise. Call 609 368-7364 to schedule a lesson.

Intermediate Dance Lessons

10 weeks: Beginning Monday, June 8 at Avalon Elementary School/Avalon Library

Beginner Dance Lessons

10 weeks:  Beginning Thursday, June 25 at Avalon Elementary School/Avalon Library

Both classes run from 6:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. with review from 5:30 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. after the first week and then the class starts from 6:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. 

 

To register for either class, please call the Avalon Library at 609-967-7155.

Ron will also be teaching this year at the Stone Harbor Women's Civic Club at 96th Street and the Beach.   The dance class will run from 7:00 P.M. to 8:30 P.M. with registration the first week from 7:00 P.M. to 7:30 P.M. and the dance lesson from 7:30 to 8:30 P.M 

Review will be from 7:00 P.M. to 7:30 P.M. with the new lesson from 7:30 P.M. to 8:30 P.M. after the first week.  The cost is $70.00 for all 10 weeks or $10.00 per class for 1 1/2 hours of classes.

The Civic Center would also like to offer an Intermediate Ballroom Dance class if there is enough interest. 
The prices would be the same as the beginner classes of $70.00 for all ten weeks or

 $10.00 per class of 1 1/2 hours each.

We are also hosting another dance cruise this year.  We will be sailing on the Queen Mary 2 from the New York City port leaving Monday, November 30, 2009, and returning to the New York City port, Thursday, December 10, 2009.  We will be at sea two days, in port 5 days in the Caribbean and then at sea 2 days before returning home.  One of the days in port we will teach so that we offer 5 days of teaching (4 classes each day) like we did last year.  We will be having a flyer soon and will be glad to mail you one or to find out more you can call Cruise Specialist at 1-800-544-2469 and tell them you would like some information on Ron Troy's Dance Cruise and they would be glad to help you with any information you would need.    Anyone who went on the cruise last year would be happy to tell you about it.
