SPRING FUNDRAISER

Once again we are asking Room Parents to take up collections for
each of their respective classes for our annual Spring Fundraiser
which will be Casino Night on February 20, 2010.

Please download the PTO approved donation letter to send home
with the students in your child's homeroom. We are asking for a
contribution of at least $5.00 to be collected by the middle of
November.

After you have collected your monies, each grade level should
combine their money together to purchase one grade level item to
be raffled off. The prize themes for each grade level are listed
below. If you do not wish to be responsible for purchasing the
items, please hand in your money to the PTO so they can make the
purchase for you. If you will be purchasing your item, please
remember to obtain a copy of the PTO's tax exempt certificate
when making your purchase.

When you have decided as a grade level what you will be
contributing, please let Kristin Christie (the Casino Night
Chairperson) know. We will need to have the items purchased no
later than January 6, 2010. If you have any questions please
contact Kristin via the PTO directory.

COMMUNICATION FOLDERS

Home School Communication folders are a way for the school/PTO to
communicate with the parents at home. The folders are sent home
with the youngest child of a family. Part of your responsibility
as a room parent is to help collate and distribute these weekly
folders. On Thursday afternoons at 2:30 or Friday mornings at
8AM you meet in the Principal's Office to pick up, collate and
stuff folders for that week. Stuff folders for the middle school
grades first and then K-4. The volunteer schedule of assigned
dates for each homeroom is available here so you will know when
you are responsible as the head room parent to get 5 volunteers
from your class to assist in stuffing the folders for that week.
If folders will not be going home due to a lack of material any
given week, you will be notified by the PTO that your services
will not be required.
