WELCOME TO MAY: Congratulations to Lori and Brian! Dyson is a big brother to a precious little baby girl, Juliette Michelle, born early Friday morning, April 17th. She came a little quicker than they anticipated - 20 minutes from start to finish - so the little pumpkin was born at home, much to everyone's surprise. Mom, Dad, Dyson and little Juliette are doing fine. Can't wait until they come for a visit! We are looking for prices from contractors so that we can move our playground over the the side a little. What a lot of work that is going to be! If you know of someone that can remove tree stumps, haul sand and bring in a little fill, please let us know. We would like to get the playground moved ASAP. Wendy has completed the evaluations and will be meeting with parents starting next week. We are so happy with the results of the evaluations! All the children scored 92% or above using the DIAL 3 assessment tool. Good job to everyone involved in our program!! APRIL: The school children have learned the Pledge of Allegiance. If you click on video clips you will see Joseph saying the pledge - great job Joseph! This month we will continue to learn lots of songs and finger plays. They are an active group! Even when they think they are playing and making arts and crafts they are really learning and learning a lot! Mama 'Chette is a great teacher and the children love her. They can't wait to go down in the morning and begin their day. School is winding down and Wendy will be doing the evaluations on each of the children. Once those are completed she will be contacting parents to set up a time to meet with you and discuss your wonderful child's progress. We just got in some new and exciting curriculum for our next four year old class. It is so colorful and looks great - can't wait to use it. The babies are growing like flowers (normally I would say weeds, but they are just too cute to be called weeds!). They are all doing great, reaching and passing all the milestones we hope for them to achieve. Some are rushing along to grow up too quickly while others are taking a little longer path, all normal and all fun to watch! They all enjoy dancing and "singing", listening to stories, being rocked, tickled and talked with. We have a wonderful group - parents and children alike! We currently have one full time opening and one part time opening. If you know of anyone looking for child care, please share our name and phone number with them. Feel free to tell them any of the wonderful experiences you and your child has had with us at Calico Kids Day Care:) March Julie had a beautiful baby boy on February 22, 2009 at 3:21am. He was 20 1/2 inches long and weighed 6lbs 10oz. His name is Benjamin John. If you have read this, please let me know!:) Pam, Mama 'Chette, Wendy and Julie
