I am originally from Strongsville (a suburb of Cleveland), Ohio and moved to
North Carolina 4 years ago. I am now calling North Carolina home :0)
My previous experience in Ohio included 2 years of substitute teaching and 2
years as a Kindergarten teacher at a private school. A big part of my life
was working as a lifeguard and teaching swimming and CPR. I attended Bowling
Green University graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Elementary
Education and I am qualified to teach Preschool through the 8th grade. I am
currently in my second year of my Masters in Reading with ECU online
courses ( I will be done this Spring). It is something that is definitly
helping me grow as a teacher.
I found my first year as a Kindergarten teacher at Swift Creek both fun and
exciting. I am now currently teaching first grade which I have grown to love
more and more every year.
In my spare time I am an avid Cleveland Browns, Indians, Cavs and Ohio
State fan. I love anything that has to do with animals as well as
participating and watching a variety of sports. In addition I
like to read and enjoy exploring things to do in the area.
