MARKETS FOR YOUNG WRITERS AND ILLUSTRATORS

TIPS:
1. Write the magazine for guidelines to find out what they want. Send an
SASE (self-addressed stamped envelope) so they can send you the information.
Check the website, too.
2. Do your best work. MAKE SURE YOUR WRITING/ARTWORK IS YOUR OWN!
3. Include your name, grade, and address when submitting. Check to see if
teacher's name also needs to be included.
4. Include an SASE (self-addressed stamped envelope) when you send in your
submission.
5. Have someone proofread your manuscript before you send it in.
6. Send your idea/manuscript/artwork to one magazine at a time.
7. Keep a copy of your work!
