How often do you write?
How often do you write?
I try to write every day. I usually write in the morning, after I take my son
to school. After lunch, I work with my other job and then I may write again
in the evening. If I have to finish something for my editor, I may work all
day for a few days to meet my deadline.
--------------------------------------
What do you like to write?
I like to write stories and books. I also like to research ideas and write
short articles. Most of the time, I can use my research in my stories or my
books.

How long have you been writing?
The first story I remember writing was in 4th grade. It was about a redheaded
girl named "Mischief." My teacher liked the story and said I should be a
writer someday. Now I am! And I have a redheaded son who used to get into
mischief all the time!

Where do you get your ideas?
I find ideas everywhere. I hear someone say something and it makes me think
of a story idea. I used to come up with different endings for books I read.
I like to play, 'what if'-- "What if there were three moons instead of one?"
"What if I lived by the beach?"
--------------------------------------
How many books have you written?
I have written a lot of books! Not all of them have been published, though.
I do have five books for young adults, published by Avalon Books. I've
also written a book for teachers called Tapestry of Reading, which has
activities for students about the different kinds of books (mysteries, science
fiction, romance, etc.). My book, FAMILY STORIES, written for adults, came
out in May 2007 with Harlequin Everlasting Love and I'm working on another one
for them that will be out in 2008. I do want to publish a children's book one
day and have a couple ideas I'm working on.

What have you written for children?
I have written over 200 short stories for children that are in different
religious magazines. Some of the magazines are: Wonder Time, Primary
Treasures, and Power and Light. I like knowing that children all over the
country are reading my stories. My writing talent is a gift I was given and I
like sharing it with others.

What's something interesting about your writing?
I had two articles in a magazine that is published in Singapore. Some of the
other articles in the magazine -- and the cartoons -- were in Chinese. That
was fun to see. And I'm an international author now!
