Worthy Grand Matron Sister Karen Adams, and Worthy Grand Patron Brother David Rake welcome you to
the 2008-2009 Grand Chapter Year!
SUMMER CHARITY
The Summer Fund Raiser will be held at the Masonic Temple in Emporia on July 12, 2008 beginning at
4:30 p.m. Plans are to have a live auction, silent auction, meal and entertainment. The committee has
decided on a Hawaiian theme. Each Chapter in the State will also be sent 4 tickets. We are asking them
to either purchase the tickets to support the fundraising event or to provide baskets/items to auction
off or both. A big auction item that the WGM and her husband are providing will be a pair of tickets to
the WGM’s home for a bed and breakfast stay. Maximum tickets 4 pair. A steak dinner with all of the
trimmings will be furnished and served by the WGM and WGP and spouses. After dinner there will be a
horse drawn hayrack ride in the country. A swim in the pool or fishing in a near by pond is available. A
full breakfast will be served the next morning @ 7:30 a.m. Church services at a one room country
church @ 9:30 a.m. will be optional to the guests before departing. The proceeds from this event will
go to support our Charities which are Heart Research and Spinal Cord Injury Research. Jeff and Cheryl
Sowder are co-chairpersons in charge of this event. Please help them in any way, if asked to do so.
