Foothill Craft GuildThe Foothills Craft Guild is the oldest artisan's guild 
in Tennessee, chartered in 1968. The Guild is dedicated to promoting and 
preserving the finest handmade crafts in the state. Guild members are 
committed to the highest standards of workmanship and to conducting 
educational programs and craft demonstrations. The Guild strives to preserve 
traditional crafts of the region, as well as showcase the newest trends and 
developments in the craft world at large.

Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts offers art classes and craft classes for 
everyone from the novice to the professional. Craft education is the reason 
and being for Arrowmont, and for over 50 years the school has dedicated its 
resources to nurturing the creative talents of individuals. In 1945, 50 
students attended the first summer craft workshops at Arrowmont, taught by 
faculty from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Each summer, as the 
craft movement grew, the program offered more media choices and began to 
focus its mission on a comprehensive art and craft school that would reach an 
even larger number of students. In the new millennium, Arrowmont is committed 
to remaining one of the leading international craft schools.

Gatlinburg, Tennessee arts and crafts stores and shops selling and exhibiting 
artisans handicrafts are found on the main parkway in Gatlinburg and also in 
the Gatlinburg Arts and crafts community. The arts community hosts more than
