What does the wisteria symbolize?

The Wisteria flower is the Jodo Shinshu (Sect) Crest.

In 1898 when Chuko Kujo married the Abbot Kyonyo (Kozui), she brought the
wisteria crest of the famous Kujo family with her, and permission was
granted by the Kujo family (a branch of the Fujiwara clan) for the Hongwanji
to use the Wisteria as its crest.

In Japanese tradition, the wisteria flower indicates humility, humbleness
and a cordial welcome; the blossoms are symbolic of brightness and
transitory.
