Saturday, November 15 : 2 pm - 4:30 pm Special Playground Event @ Orthopaedic Hospital Join the Pinafores and Shane's Inspiration kids at the hospital playground. Girls are needed to assist with arts and crafts and interacting with the children. There will be a press conference held that highlights the building of a playground like Shane's Inspiration in Zacatecus, Mexico. Children at the new playground in Mexico will be connected, via the internet, with children at the hospital playground. The mayor of Zacatecus and Juarez will be present, along with some dignitaries. Please contact Mrs. Barbara Murray if you have questions or would like to volunteer. Mrs. Murray's number is 213-742-1532. Saturday, November 29 : 8:15 - 10:15 am Winter Decorating @ Orthopaedic Hospital
Up to 4 girls and 2 moms are needed to help decorate for the Fall. Please RSVP by Nov. 26th to Mrs. Christine Fine @ 310-378-7866. If you are there for the full 2 hours, Mrs. Murray has agreed to give you 4 hours On-Site Hospital hours. This is in addition to the 2 hours of community service you get for each hospital visit. 3,000 toys for children @ Orthopaedic Hospital. Hours earned are considered off-site

Over 1500 kids will attend this Christmas party. Moms and daughters are need to help out. Volunteers enjoyed the festivities while they passed out toys, snacks and antlers to the children. To volunteer on this school day, you will need to contact Mrs. Murray at 213-742-1533 or bmurray@laoh.ucla.edu. Monday, December 22 : 9:30 am - 12: 30 pm Caroling for the staff and patients @ Orthopaedic Hospital Outpatient Clinic Minimum of 2 moms are needed. No limit on amount of girls! Wear festive holiday clothes. Santa hats are ok too. Please RSVP by Wednesday, December 17th to Mrs. Christine Fine @ 310-378-7866.
