The Tri-County GATE Council offers many programs for educators, parents, students, and other interested people:

REGULAR MONTHLY MEETINGS. During the school year, meetings are held, usually on the second Friday of each month, from 9:00 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. The education portion of the meeting is from 9:00 - 10:30, and the business portion is from 10:30 - 11:30. Meeting locations change from month to month in order to accommodate members from the entire region, though we are based at the Ventura Unified School District Offices. Meetings are opportunities for networking, learning about gifted education, and advocating for gifted students and education.

WORKSHOPS FOR TEACHERS, PARENTS, AND COUNSELORS AND PSYCHOLOGISTS. The Tri-County GATE Council hosts programs at which local experts make presentations, as well as sponsoring workshops with nationally known speakers who present valuable information about gifted education curriculum, as well as the social and emotional needs of gifted children.

COLLOQUIUM. The Tri-County GATE Council sponsors a Colloquium, mini-conference each year. We offer a keynote address and choices of workshops, as well as coffee, snacks and lunch. This is a great opportunity to learn from local experts and to network with educators and parents. This year the Colloquium will be held on Saturday, April 22 in Goleta.
