Most of the equipment a police officer needs comes from a police uniform
shop or a police supply company. A lot of my equipment comes from Galls.
They tend to be reasonably priced and they usually have what I'm looking
for. If you are an Explorer and you are looking for equipment, this is a
good place to start. You don't have to use Galls, it is just one of
several companies. Remember, BEFORE you buy any item, check with your
advisor to see if it it something you can use. Don't waste your money
buying something if you are not allowed to carry it. Search the net for
other companies too. This is not an endorsement, just a starting point.

Tubby's Tees is a business here in Fairhope. When they heard about our
post,
they very generously provided the Fairhope Police Department with enough
shirts for each participant. Each shirt has the Explorer logo on the chest,
and Fairhope P.D. Explorer on the back. It really adds to the professional
image of our unit.
